Oprah to adopt in 2008?

Some California psychics decided to predict the future of some celebrities. Oprah came up and the prediction.... "Oprah Winfrey, America's all around great lady, adopting one or two girls from Cambodia or South Africa, between the ages of one and nine. Speaking of Oprah, sadly, several psychics see her public support of Barack Obama as backfiring on her."

Ummmm I'll believe it when I see it about the children. She has said numerous times that her beloved dogs are her children. The Obama situation?? I see that happening but who didn't?

Obama and Oprahpalooza

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Oprah has joined Obama in his race to become the next President of the United States. First stop on Dec 8th was Iowa where Oprah stated, "So I am not here to tell you what to think. I am here to ask you TO think."
Calling her decision to stump for Obama "very, very personal," Winfrey looked around at the sea of people in front of her and said, "It feels like I am out of my pew, I'm out of my terrain. Backstage somebody said, 'Are you nervous?'
"I said, 'You're damn right I'm nervous. Yes I am because I've never done this before.'

South Carolina was the next stop on December 9th where attendees expressed mixed emotions from wanting to see Oprah and Obama in person to others already deciding he was their choice of vote. After South Carolina they move on to New Hampshire. Currently Clinton holds 45% and Obama 31% of Democratic primary voters in South Carolina.

Yesterday the stop was New Hampshire where Winfrey confronted Obama's chief weakness: his lack of experience.
"You can't be fooled by this experience question," she said. "And time -- because you know it is not the amount of time that you spend with your children, it's the quality of that time, it's what you do with that time."

There are mixed feelings about Oprah campaigning for Obama. Some feel that it won't make a difference in votes while others believe that Oprah's cult like following will weigh heavily. Personally I think that it will open people minds to considering Obama. At the same time it looks as though this tour is a big "see Oprah for free, instead of flying to Chicago" promotion.
