UPDATE:::::: Suspect arrested in Jennifer Hudson's mother/brother death

UPDATE 1:::::
Police arrested Balfour at his pregnant girlfriend's Southwest Side apartment a few hours after the bodies were found, but the boy was not with him. The Amber Alert remains active.
Chicago police said today that Balfour has been transferred to the Illinois Department of Corrections on a violation of parole. Police said the violation is "independent of this investigation," but an Illinois Department of Corrections spokeswoman said Balfour violated his parole by being a "person of interest" in the murder case and possibly involved in the disappearance of the 7-year-old.

Though an alert released Friday identified Balfour as a suspect in the murders, Chicago police this weekend have said he is only a person they were interviewing. He has not been charged in the murders.

Jennifer Hudson has announced that she and her family are offering a $100,000 reward for the return of her 7-year-olf nephew

--------------------------

Police are questioning a suspect in the killings of Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother, according to published reports, and are searching for a boy missing from the scene.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, William Balfour, 27, has been taken into custody.
On his MySpace page, Balfour says he is married to Jennifer Hudson's sister Julia Hudson and has a stepson.

The Associated Press reports that Balfour is on parole and spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle.
Julian, the missing boy, is 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He was wearing a brown polo shirt with stripes and khaki pants when last seen, authorities said in the Amber Alert.

A 1994 white Chevrolet Suburban usually at the house was also gone, authorities said at an evening news conference.

The Amber Alert said Julian, who police said was Donerson's grandson, could also be the Suburban or in a teal or green Chrysler Concorde with a temporary license plate, a left front headlight hanging out and scratches on the left side.

Mrs Windy extends my deepest sympathy and condolences to the entire family

Rumors... Rumors: Lisa Raye, Rocsi, D Wade, Kanye....much more

Lisa Raye has been spending A LOT of time state side since her husband’s alleged rape allegation and I hear that she has found her a young play toy but will be returning to her husband….. BUT rumors and now pictures (see above) has surface that Rocsi visited Turks this weekend and was majorly friendly with Lisa Raye’s husband, Michael Misick. Rocsi has also been linked to Kelly Rowland’s ex-fiance Roy Williams. Jen the Pen states that Roy leased a Range Rover for her and then took it back while she was inside taping a ‘106 and Park’ show…… Priceless

Also hometown baller D Wade has been spending much more time with Gabrielle Union since the alleged separation of him and his wife, Siohvaughn . Supposedly Siohvaughn moved back to Chi-Town but no one has seen her……. J. Hud and Punk (I Love New York) is on and poppin. Yes its going down… poor James, I guess she was tired of living in his Spotlight, but he had reason she was dating Punk!!!

Off the subject but rumors are spinning that the reason behind Kanye and Alexis split??? None other than arm candy Brooke Crittendon, the lovely he dated before Alexis….. time will tell

Oh yes, I received a email that Yung Berg is dating Drew Sidora (The Game, Step Up movie), this person CLAIMS to have pics of their romance so I say this…send the pics over, I really want to see this… Mrs Windy will never tell

A Common source says the talented entertainer has been checking out some serious bling -- focusing on some major engagement rings for Serena Williams

Jennifer Hudson out in NYC

Jennifer Hudson stepped out sans Punk and signed autographs while leaving the Regis and Kelly Show in New York City yesterday and later in the day, J. Hud stopped by BET

Chi Couples... J. Hud and Punk + Berg and Jaslene

LaShonda (The E-Biz) called it first!!!! It seems that our hometown Princess, Jennifer Hudson is dating Punk from 'I Love New York'..... what happened to James (her boo from high school)??? Some say they are still dating.... maybe J. Hud and Punk are just friends???? If not, I'm sure Effie won't let him run over her.

J. Hud is currently in New York for 'Good Morning America' yesterday and 'Live with Regis and Kelly' tomorrow.

You know how I feel about her fashion mishaps.....

******

Rumors are circling that Yung Berg, got dumped by Jaslene. He's still stalking her through text and phone calls...... if anyone cares he will be on '106 & Park' on Friday

Jeniffer Hudson's secret??? American Apparel

It seems Ms Hudson or her stylist choose the lovely American Apparel dress that costs $36.... and I must say, it wasn't a bad choice!!!

Ur thoughts???

Jennifer Hudson - Myspace TV

The Making of Spotlight Episode 1

She was reserved and humble on this video.....

In other J. Hud news: People Style interviewed her about her
cheap but chic obsession.

“My favorite place to go is Topshop. I love Topshop!” How much does she usually drop? “Thousands! It’s a lot! Sometimes I want a cart because there are so many levels. How much room can one store need? That’s like my dream place!”

Im not going to comment because you should know how I feel about her clothing choices....

BET Awards

I know you guys have seen the pictures and videos of the BET Awards. Above are three Windy City ladies: J Hud, Lisa Raye, and Kid Sister. I have received many emails on why I didn’t post but I must say that I was super disappointed with the awards. It was huge disappointment from the fashion choices to the performances.

A loyal reader Kia said,

“It’s not the fact that we are getting older and not interested in the awards
its that the artist are not taking the time out to fully immerse themselves into
groundbreaking and entertaining performances.”

Took the words right out of my mouth. BUT here is Mrs Windy City’s breakdown ( three days late but $5 dollars true)

Youtube it:

Ne-Yo: best performance of the night. He stole the show. Sounded great and did an amazing job
Chris Brown and Ciara: The dance sequence was another highlight of the night
Al Green: the tribute was amazing and his performance was unforgettable

Laugh at it:

Usher and his repeat Saturday Night Live performance. Bad lipsyncing and we can’t blame Maneka on this one…. He’s getting older, let Chris Brown run it boo

Neffie and Frankie (Keyshia’s sis and mom): what in the prom dress hell did they have on?

Cleopatra wigs: apparently the Queen of the Nile came back full force and lended her wigs to Alicia Keys AND Ciara

Keyshia swagger jacking Mary J Blige from the white outfit to her dancing

Lil Kim (performance with Keyshia): What in the wanna be Barbie Doll hell was that crap?

Jeniffer Hudson's new song, "Spotlight"

I like the song, her voice is calm and not so "churchy". I don't know if she writes her songs but it sounds like a song about James maybe??? He does live under her "Spotlight". Will this song top the air waves??? We'll see

Jeniffer Hudson doesn't like heels?

Its being reported that J.Hud was disappointed because her character in Sex and the City did not wear glamourous clothing like the others. She plays Carrie Bradshaw assistant.

She says, “I wanted to dress like them. But it was unrealistic for my character. Her budget was not their budget. She was just a college kid… so she couldn’t afford any of that stuff.”

She continues, “To be honest, I don’t like any shoes. And I can’t stand high-heels. I don’t know what are the highest heels I’ve ever had. I’ve never been label crazy.”

We know boo boo, we know

Chicago Music News: Hotstylz, Michelle, Jennifer

Yung Joc has a new imprint, Swagg Team Entertainment. His label has inked a deal with Jive Records to release the debut album by Chicago trio Hotstylz, who created an online sensation with a satirical track that has since been renamed “Lookin’ Boy.”

“I wanted to put together a team of artists and opportunists to change the pace of music as we know it right now, as far as Hip-Hop and R&B is concerned,” Joc told.

He discovered Hotstylz accidentally, when he was introduced to them by radio and club DJ Hershey, who had downloaded the audio from the group’s YouTube video.
The new video for “Lookin’ Boy,” which Joc says closely follows Hotstylz’ original clip, is set to hit airwaves on May 12.
Read the whole intereview here and listen to the track below ( I must confess, it’s a guily pleasure for me)

That Grape Juice has an exclusive intereview with Michelle Williams about several issues including her Gospel critics, the constant comparisons to her band mates Beyonce and Kelly as well as serving up the 'Unexpected' with her new record.

Quote: Actually there is absolutely no truth to the Henry Simmons rumours. In a way, I’d wish these rumours would stop popping up because it’s messing up my opportunities…
Read the wonderful interview here

Also, Michelle Williams wowed the crowd here in Chicago at the Underground (I wonder is she still lovey dovey with BillyDec??) -- singing the single ''We Break the Dawn''
