His arraignment was delayed until April 6. He was NOT ordered to stay away from Rihanna. Her lawyer said:

"She did not feel a stay-away order was necessary."

Chris was charged with assault and making criminal threats, two felonies. If convicted, Brown faces anywhere from probation to a maximum four years and eight months in state prison.

It is also being reported that Rihanna has alienated herself from her family. She has changed her emails and phone numbers.

Chris and Rihanna ... its not as bad

Chris is all right. He's a good kid. He feels very bad that something like this has happened," his longtime wardrobe stylist Mike B. tells PEOPLE.

Another friend echoes that sentiment, telling PEOPLE, "You can tell everybody that Chris really feels bad about the whole situation, about it coming out the way that it happened, the way he went about it, the way she went about it ... it's just a wack situation."

As for what really happened, the friend says the story is "not as bad as everybody is trying to gas it up to be."

The GRAMMY’s went down last night and not without some drama. Chris Brown and Rihanna didn’t show up because Chris was involved in a physical altercation with a female that will result in a felony domestic charge. Rihanna on the other hand is reported to have been in a car accident. Media reports are saying that Rihanna is the unnamed female that Chris assaulted.
