Edward Norton will be behind a documentary about Barack Obama's meteoric rise from first-term Illinois senator to a presidential run. Directors Amy Rice and Alicia Sams have been filming Obama for the past two years -- even before the senator began his presidential run. Norton will take this material as well as other material to complete this documentary.
The original idea for the film came after Norton and his production company partners heard Obama's now-legendary address to the Democratic National Convention in 2004.
''It was akin to the way I remembered my dad describing how he felt when Kennedy gave his inauguration speech,'' Norton told Daily Variety.
