- 31 people have been shot in Chicago -- six fatally -- and two people have been stabbed since noon Friday. The shooting victims range in age from 12 to 65.
- Dale E. Bartoszewski, 59, pulled alongside the girl in the 5700 block of North Milwaukee Avenue as she was walking to school and asked her to get into his car. He later told police he was trying to lure her to the car because he wanted to date her and have sex with her
