Bulls forward Joakim Noah arrested
Gainesville police arrested Chicago Bulls forward Joakim Noah after he was found in possession of marijuana and alcohol in open container a few hours past midnight on Sunday.
The report indicated Noah was found carrying a plastic cup on a sidewalk. Police determined that the "amber-colored" liquid was alcoholic and immediately charged him with violation of the city law involving such drinks at public streets. Authorities later also found him carrying a marijuana cigarette in his pocket.
The 23-year-old Noah was released but only upon agreeing to appear before a judge. He could serve six months in jail and draw a fine of up to $500 if proven guilty.
